The most AWESOME trip I’ve ever taken!! Tanzania – I will be back!!!
The 12 day safari in Tanzania was the most AMAZING trip in my lifetime! I have travelled quite a bit outside the U.S. including Kenya in 1996, to Australia a few years later and to several European countries. I have never had such an awesome experience in any of my travels as this one!! Seeing the wildlife and just sitting and watching their behaviors was fascinating.
I cannot say enough good things about our guide, Ally Kileo. He’s a native Tanzanian, lived in the United States for a few years, went to college to learn about wildlife, then moved back to his home in Tanzania to his love of being a safari guide. He currently contracts with Kibo Safaris, LTD in Arusha, Tanzania. He speaks excellent English, has unlimited knowledge and was always inviting questions, not only about the wildlife but also about culture, tribal traditions, anything & everything.. He could identify every bird, knew behaviors of the wildlife so well, that he relayed to us what “they were up to,” as we watched. He educated us about the government of Tanzania, the school system, and the trust and love that Tanzanians have for each other and even strangers. I’ve never been to a country where the people were SO friendly, happy, and welcoming. They are peaceful people, extending great hospitality, and love Americans.
Accommodations were excellent!!! I LOVED the tented camps!!
There were numerous times on this trip that I was moved to tears. I experienced the trip of my lifetime because the combination of experiences were so varied. I loved not only learning about the different cultures, but also being able to participate in cultural activities.
Thank you SO MUCH for helping us plan our trip to South Africa. I haven’t been everywhere, but I’ve been to a good number of places and this is by far my favorite trip I’ve taken. Safari was UNBELIEVABLE. We saw everything on our wishlist except Hyennas, but that’s a good excuse to go back. Shiduli was lovely, the staff was great; they even upgraded me to the Honeymoon Suite. Food was great, spa was great, but the staff really made the whole experience. I would have never found Shiduli without you, so thank you.
Our trip on the Panorama Route and Blyde River Canyon was awesome. Our guide, Sam, told us that we had a very lucky weather day because we got to see most everything. There was a road closure so our drive was a bit longer than anticipated, but Sam and Thompsons made it work and we saw most everything and still made it to the lodge for our evening game drive. Sam was AMAZING. We spend two weeks in South Africa and he was by far, the best guide we had.
Last note: My sister was able to get an emergency passport with yours and LeAnn’s, help. As an agent, I know the basic requirements and steps when a passport goes missing, but the logistics of an unknown city would have taken us much longer to navigate if not for Thompsons sending a representative to escort my sister. The staff at Shiduli took her to town to get her documents and photos in order, and when we landed on Monday, a representative escorted her to the embassy and back to the airport. She got a new passport and made our flight, even during JNB rush hour. It was amazing and SO Appreciated.
I recently hosted a Discover Africa night (last Thursday) with our African Travel Rep and I made sure that my clients and members knew exactly what you guys did to help us in that situation. It was awesome and I can’t thank you enough.

Thank you Niki, for organizing our fabulous adventures to South Africa! This trip far exceeded our expectations.
For several months you guided us through the process, answered our questions, provided a packing list, and ensured that we had all required documents. We were warmly greeted at the airport in Cape Town, and from that point on, we were taken care of every day. Our hotel accommodations were first class, with first class staff. Our travel guides were equally first class. They were prompt for arrivals, provided information during our excursions, and were safe drivers. The same holds true for the staff at Kapama Private Game Preserve. Seeing the animals in their natural environment was a remarkable experience.
The people of South Africa are kind, courteous, helpful, informative, and very proud of their country. We are encouraging our family and friends to experience South Africa, and recommend you as the safari operator for travel to South Africa.
