Day 1. Arrive Livingstone, Zambia
Upon arrival, you are warmly welcomed and transferred with fellow guests to your reserved hotel. Later in the afternoon you are transferred to the Zambezi River above The Falls for a "sundowner" cruise. Livingstone first wrote about this "Crimson Heart of Africa bleeding over the Kandahar Rapids" and sunset on the Zambezi has captivated travelers since. Board the comfortable boat, as a guest of the upper deck "Captain's Cabin". The cruise makes it way slowly upstream along the length of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park looking for wildlife on the way. A number of animals and a host of bird species can be seen from comfortable chairs. Excellent hot and cold food is served on board and the bar is well stocked with spirits, beers and soft drinks.
