2. Lion Sands Kruger National Park – Tinga Lodge

Lion Sands Tinga Lodge lies on the banks of the Sabie River in a private concession within the world-renowned Kruger National Park. The Lodge style is grand and spacious lending a feeling of historical opulence with its wooden viewing decks ending a few feet from the Sabie River. The main lodge is air-conditioned and offers access to satellite television, free Wi-Fi and a central pool for guests’ pleasure. The glass-fronted suites each have a private deck with a plunge pool. All the suites have ensuite bathrooms with showers inside and outdoors. The spacious beds are draped with mosquito netting and the room equipped with room fans, in-room safe, mini-bar, hairdryer and telephone. A host of adventures such as tracking the Big Five in open vehicles by day and at night accompanied by qualified game rangers and Shangaan trackers, and going off road for exceptional close wildlife encounters, make for a truly memorable experience.

Tinyeleti Treehouse is fully equipped for your relaxation and you can expect all the comforts of a luxury stay. The deck can accommodate 4 people. Whether it is adventure or romance you are after, the Tinyeleti treehouse offers a truly authentic wilderness experience.

4. Victoria Falls River Lodge

Zimbabwe, Zambezi National Park

Victoria Falls River Lodge is a luxury tented lodge situated on the peaceful banks of the mighty Zambezi River, within the national park. The well-spaced tents boast uninterrupted views of the river and surrounding bush. Constructed of canvas, glass and wood, each tent extends out onto a private deck with its own plunge pool. The air-conditioned tents are tastefully decorated, and include a comfortable seating area, open plan bathroom with freestanding bath, indoor shower, as well as an outdoor shower. Positioned just back from the river’s edge, the main lodge offers a cool sanctuary from the African sun. After a day filled with activities, guests can relax and recharge in the river-side lounge, unwind alongside the pool, or indulge in a spa treatment (additional) at the Toa Spa. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available but may be intermittent due to the lodge’s location.

With a warm welcome upon your arrival in Cape Town, South Africa’s “Mother City,” you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure to enjoy one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities in the world.

Day 2. Cape Town

Today’s township excursion offers insight into South Africa's abundance of hope and creative energy. Meet the people empowering their local communities through grassroots development programs. Spend time with children at a preschool, or seniors at a retirement home. Visit an urban garden or a literacy workshop and be touched by the wonderful raw energy of the "Rainbow Nation" in one unforgettable morning. (B)

Day 3. Cape Town

Meet your private guide in the hotel lobby for your full day excursion to the Cape Peninsula. Embark on a spectacular day discovering the pristine coastline and quaint towns along "The Fairest Cape."

Board a boat to see the Cape Fur seal colony in the charming fishing village of Hout Bay, weather permitting. Hug the cliffs as you snake along legendary Chapman's Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. You will have the opportunity to ride the Flying Dutchman funicular to the old lighthouse for awe-inspiring views! After lunch (on own account), continue along the coast to the lively penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Then head back to the city via the naval village of Simon's Town.(B)

Day 4. Cape Town

Leave behind the lively city and venture into the beautiful Franschhoek winelands, where spectacular vineyards cover the valley floor and mountain slopes. Discover wine farms and estates dating back 300 years to the French Huguenots, each with their own story to tell. Stroll through the picturesque little village, and enjoy lunch on a nearby wine farm surrounded by old oak trees. (BL)

Day 5. Cape Town/Kruger Private Reserve

With a couple of short flights, you’ll be on your way to your safari adventure within a private reserve in the famous Kruger National Park. Settle in and soak up the tranquility of the African bush before embarking on your first afternoon game drive which takes you into the night to view the more elusive nocturnal species. (BLD)

Day 7. Kruger Private Reserve

With your skilled ranger, explore the rarer sights and wonders of the bush during your game viewing activities today. Perhaps take a guided walk through the bush or arrange for a candle-lit alfresco dinner as the Southern Cross begins to twinkle. (BLD)

Day 8. Kruger Private Reserve / Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Fly to spectacular Victoria Falls, hailed as one of the world's Seven Natural Wonders. Later this afternoon, sail upstream on a sunset cruise. As the sun sets, be ready with your binoculars to zoom in on the hippos cavorting in the river. Look out for the elephants as they make their way to the riverbank for their last drink, before settling down for the night. (BLD)

Day 9. Victoria Falls

Walk the misty rainforest trails of Victoria Falls, then marvel at this thunderous spectacle from above on a helicopter flight. Observe elephant quietly browsing on bright green islands as the mighty Zambezi flows by, before crashing over the edge in a burst of spray. (BLD)
