2. Kapama Buffalo Camp

Reminiscent of a traditional African safari camp, Kapama Buffalo Camp offers a unique and intimate experience in the bush. The spacious tented suites are set on wooden decks built on stilts over an elevated riverbank. Designed to evoke the feeling of Old Africa, the tents have all the usual comforts of electricity, en-suite bathroom with a large stand- alone bath and shower with uninterrupted views of the surrounds. There’s air conditioning for summer and heated under-blankets to keep the cold at bay on winter nights. Other amenities include a safe, writing table, mini-bar and tea/coffee facilities. Wooden walkways connect the tents to the communal areas of the camp. A cozy lounge nestles under a vaulted thatch roof on the edge of the riverbank, while the pool terrace features a large rim flow pool. Breakfast and lunch are served under a canopy of thatch, while dinner is usually enjoyed in the rustic outdoor boma, around a roaring open fire (depending on the weather, dinner may also be served indoors). At night, oil lanterns, create a special intimate ambience. With a maximum of 20 guests, special attention is paid to personal service and the staff become like friends. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles and guided bush walks, conducted by experienced rangers.

Day 1. Arrive Cape Town, South Africa

With a warm welcome upon your arrival in Cape Town, South Africa’s “Mother City,” you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure to enjoy one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities in the world.

Day 2. Cape Town

Spend your day exploring the stunning Cape Peninsula. Drive past the sparkling beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. Wind your way along legendary Chapman’s Peak Drive to the rocky seascapes of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Continue along the coast to the delightful penguin colony at Boulders Beach. (B)

Day 3. Cape Town

Leave behind the lively city and venture into the beautiful winelands. Here spectacular vineyards cover the valley floor and mountain slopes. Discover wine farms dating back 300 years, each with their own story to tell. Stroll through the picturesque little villages and towns, taste splendid wines, and enjoy lunch on a nearby wine farm. Day 4. Cape Town

Relish your last leisurely day in Cape Town and complete your "Mother City" bucket list. We've included a few exclusive Value Adds to enhance your Cape Town experience.

Day 6. Kapama Private Game Reserve

With your skilled ranger, explore the rarer sights and wonders of the bush during your game viewing activities today. Perhaps take a guided walk through the bush or arrange for a candle-lit alfresco dinner as the Southern Cross begins to twinkle. (BLD)

Day 7. Kapama Private Game Reserve

Another day of exploration awaits with morning and late afternoon game drives, the latter extending into the twilight to showcase the fascinating nocturnal creatures. Between exciting safaris, spend the time at camp, relaxing.

Kapama also offers some unique wildlife experiences at an additional charge - visit the Hoedspruit Centre for Endangered Species to see rare wildlife up close, or learn about Africa's largest land animal on an elephant interaction. (BLD)

Day 8. Kapama Private Game Reserve / Depart

Venture on one last early morning game drive, a bittersweet farewell. Breakfast is included before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg. and your connecting arrangements.
