1. The Commodore Hotel

The Commodore, located at the highest point on Cape Town’s historic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, offers spectacular views of Table Mountain, Signal Hill, Granger Bay, Table Bay and Robben Island. Each of the elegantly furnished en-suite bedrooms is air-conditioned, bright and spacious. All rooms have satellite TV, tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar, in-room internet access, electric razor plug and hair dryer. For your convenience, there are a variety of amenities and services available at The Commodore. From a transit lounge where early arrivals and late departures can relax between journeys to a well-equipped gymnasium overlooking the pool area and a health and wellness center.  In addition, the Commodore offers 24-hour room service, babysitting, and same day laundry and dry cleaning. The Clipper Restaurant offers fine dining in a relaxed setting. Savor a mouthwatering buffet breakfast or choose from an a la carte menu for lunch and dinner. The Admiralty Bar and Lounge and The Terrace offers light meals. 

2. Thornybush Waterside Lodge

Adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park, the lodge is set on the banks of a tranquil lake with breath-taking views of the African bushveld. The air-conditioned thatched suites blend into the natural habitat and are scattered along pathways surrounded by abundant trees and manicured gardens. Each suite features an en-suite bathroom, indoor shower and private deck area, separate bath and shower, hairdryer, telephone, mini bar, safe and tea/coffee making facilities. Additional lodge amenities include a library with internet access, curio shop and boma.  Relax and take in the African surrounds after breakfast on the main deck area overlooking the lake, the swimming pool or, alternatively, retreat to the comfort of your suite or pamper yourself in the spa.

4. Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is set on a plateau overlooking the Zambezi National Park and only a few minutes from the majestic Victoria Falls. Spacious and light bedrooms, with glass sliding doors open on to private balconies with unrivalled views of the bushveld at sunset. The central lodge area features the award-winning MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant, the famous Buffalo Bar, a two-tiered swimming pool and a fitness room, all with views over the wildlife-rich waterhole. Dining options cater to your mood and appetite. The MaKuwa-Kuwa is an à la carte restaurant, while the Boma offers a unique African experience including traditional dancers, an interactive drumming show and mouth-watering local and international dishes every evening.


Day 1. Arrive Cape Town, South Africa

With a warm welcome upon your arrival in Cape Town, South Africa’s “Mother City,” you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure to enjoy one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities in the world.

Day 2. Cape Town

Spend your day exploring the stunning Cape Peninsula. Drive past the sparkling beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. Wind your way along legendary Chapman’s Peak Drive to the rocky seascapes of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Continue along the coast to the delightful penguin colony at Boulders Beach. (B)

Day 3. Cape Town

Today’s sojourn explores the nearby winelands. Learn all about the process of winemaking, from grape to goblet. Revel in the scenery — like the breathtaking views of the Paarl valley and the picturesque little village of Franschhoek, the gourmet capital of the Cape. Take a stroll through historic Stellenbosch with its Cape Dutch architecture, absorbing the quaintness of this lovely university town. (B)

Day 4. Cape Town / Kruger Private Reserve

With a couple of short flights, you’ll be on your way to your safari adventure within a private reserve bordering the famous Kruger National Park. Settle in and soak up the tranquility of the African bush before embarking on your late afternoon game drive. This superb sanctuary is home to an abundance of wildlife so keep your eyes peeled. Day 5. Kruger Private Reserve

Just as the wildlife awaken, meet your expert safari ranger and hop aboard your open safari vehicle for a thrilling game drive. Photograph away as you spot the Big Five and other wildlife, found on the reserve. On your late afternoon drive, pause for a sundowner as the sun dips below the horizon. (BLD)

Day 6. Kruger Private Reserve

With your skilled ranger, explore the rarer sights and wonders of the bush during your game viewing activities today. Perhaps take a guided walk through the bush or arrange for a candle-lit alfresco dinner as the Southern Cross begins to twinkle. (BLD)

Day 7. Kruger Private Reserve / Johannesburg

Set out early on your final safari in search of those hard-to-spot cheetahs and the Big Five. Return to camp for a hearty breakfast and relax until it's time to transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, you are transferred to your ideally located hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. (B)

Day 8. Johannesburg / Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Fly to spectacular Victoria Falls, hailed as one of the world's Seven Natural Wonders, and settle into your lodge. Later this afternoon, you’ll experience the grandeur above the falls as you sail upstream on a sunset cruise. As the sun sets be ready with your binoculars to zoom in on the hippos cavorting in the river. Look out for the elephants as they make their way to the riverbank for their last drink, before settling down for the night. (BD)

Day 9. Victoria Falls

Keep an eye out for rainbows as you walk the misty rainforest trails of Victoria Falls. Marvel at the thunderous noise as millions of gallons of water swirl around the islets and tumble over Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls and Rainbow Falls. (BD)

Day 10. Victoria Falls / Depart

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight bound for Johannesburg and your connecting arrangements. You may be leaving Africa behind but you’ll return home with fantastic photos and memories that will last forever. (B)
