1. Safari Park Hotel

Safari Park Hotel is situated only 6 miles from the city centre and 12 miles from the airport. This African-themed resort offers deluxe accommodation in 64 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and indigenous forest. All of the rooms are airy and have a television, full bathroom facilities and private balconies. There are six excellent restaurants offering Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Italian, English and African menus. There is also a casino, several bars, a health club, and tennis and squash courts.

2. Elephant Bedroom Camp

Elephant Bedroom Camp is an intimate tented camp set on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in the renowned Samburu National Reserve. Surrounded by palms and beautiful indigenous trees, the camp offers simplistic elegance, luxury and style. Inspired by the textures and colors of African nature, each of the 12 beautifully appointed tents surround you with luxury. The en-suite bathrooms are fitted with hot and cold running water, rain showers and flushing toilets. Individual verandas encourage you to linger while admiring the lush wilderness of the area. The cozy lounge and dining area with original oil paintings and soft intimate lighting open to the outside capturing the tranquil surroundings. Dining is a culinary experience with al-fresco meals and candle lit gourmet dinners set either under the African sky or inside the romantic dining area.

3. Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp

Exuding breathtaking beauty, Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp lies on the shoreline of the sapphire-blue Lake Elmenteita. The small and exclusive camp is within the Soysambu Conservancy, a unique wildlife sanctuary, home to the Rothschild giraffe and a breeding ground for the Great White Pelican. Styled to echo the area’s rich history, the camp blends elegance with modern luxury. Each of the luxury guest tents offer views of the lake with its own private veranda. Tent amenities include telephone, wireless internet access, mini bar, electronic safe, tea & coffee making facilities, a bathroom with his & hers showers, bathrobe, slippers and hairdryer. The central dining area overlooks the swimming pool and the waterhole, while the bar has views of the lake.  Laundry service is available. 

4. Mara Serena Safari Lodge

Kenya, Masai Mara

Set high on a bush-cloaked hill with views over the savannah and down to the hippo-filled Mara River, Mara Serena Safari Lodge stands center stage to one of Africa's most dramatic wildlife arenas, offering a ringside seat for the “greatest wildlife show on earth”, the legendary migration of the wildebeest. Designed after a traditional Maasai manyatta, the lodge blends international sophistication with raw African beauty. Each uniquely-presented room is accommodated in its own stand-alone modular unit, with uninterrupted views of the Mara River, a private balcony and spacious seating area.  All rooms feature a bathroom with bathtub and shower, mini-bar, satellite TV, hair dryer and safety deposit box (available in the reception area), wireless internet access, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities.  Laundry service is available. Day 1. Arrive Nairobi, Kenya

Jambo na Karibu! On arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by an African Travel Inc. representative and transferred to your hotel. You have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2. Nairobi / Samburu National Reserve

After an early breakfast, depart for Samburu, heading north, through breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and fields of tea and coffee. After passing through Nanyuki town, continue north, eventually reaching Isiolo, the last major stop on the journey into the remote northern frontier district. From here it is a fairly short drive to Samburu. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch before departing on an afternoon game drive, returning to the camp as the sun sets. (BLD)

Day 3. Samburu National Reserve

An early morning game drive is followed by breakfast and time to relax by the river’s bank. After lunch depart on the afternoon game drive and enjoy a sundowner before returning to camp. (BLD)

Hidden Gem – This evening there will be a 30-minute open bar for sundowners – especially for you.

Day 4. Samburu National Reserve / Lake Elmenteita

Depart Samburu after breakfast and travel south to the Soysambu Conservancy and your luxury camp on the shores of Lake Elmenteita, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch depart on an afternoon game drive in this unique wildlife sanctuary, home to a broad range of wildlife and bird species, including the Rothschild giraffe. The Soysambu Conservancy is East Africa’s only breeding ground for the Great White Pelican. (BLD)

Hidden Gem – This evening enjoy a half hour open bar for cocktails, at the top of the cliffs while watching the magnificent sun set over the lake.

Day 5. Lake Elmenteita

Leave the lodge after an early morning cup of tea, and head to the lake to enjoy a special safari experience.

Hidden Gem – A superb breakfast has been arranged for you near the lake.

Following breakfast, depart for a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its seasonal concentrations of flamingo. The park is a sanctuary for Black and White rhinos, as well as the endangered Rothschild giraffe. Return to the camp for lunch. (BLD)

Hidden Gem – After lunch today there will be an interactive cookery class with a Kenyan Touch. The rest of the afternoon will be at leisure.

Day 6. Lake Elmenteita / Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading out for Maasailand and the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. After stopping for lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive in the park, arriving at your lodge just as the sun sets. Gather for dinner under a blanket of stars. (BLD)

Day 7. Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve returning to the lodge for your meals. The Maasai Mara is an extension of the world-renowned Serengeti National Park of Tanzania. Named for the Maasai tribes people (the traditional inhabitants of the area) and the Mara River which divides it, the reserve holds a diverse concentration of wildlife. It is famous for the abundance of big cats, lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah and the annual great wildebeest migration. (BLD)

Day 8. Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Leave the lodge after an early morning cup of tea and enjoy an exhilarating game drive in the crisp morning air to view the abundance of wildlife in the Mara.

Hidden Gem – For the ultimate Mara experience a superb breakfast has been arranged for you, at the local Hippo Pool. One cannot resist the charming “Jambo” from the chefs and Maasai warriors as they welcome you to a wonderfully set breakfast buffet of cold cuts, fruits, cereals and eggs made to your specifications. The hippos keep you company and only say “Kwaheri” (good-bye) after you have had enough. (BLD)

Day 9. Masai Mara / Depart

Enjoy breakfast, before traveling back to Nairobi’s bustling city center. Arrive in the afternoon in time for lunch, and the transfer to the international airport for your departure flight. (BL)
