Day 2. Cape Town
Today's tour begins in Kalk Bay, a fishing village lined with antique stores, arts and crafts shops and quirky boutiques. Take a short hike to explore the nearby Milkwood forests. Continue to Simon’s Town to search for a colony of penguins on a secret beach known only to locals. Finish up with a gentle hike in the Cape Peninsula Reserve. (B
Day 3. Cape Town
Relish a leisurely day in Cape Town. Soak up the lively blend of history and culture as you sightsee in the "Mother City.” Stroll through the Malay Quarter; visit the top of Table Mountain or venture into Stellenbosch and join a guided foodie walk. (B)
Day 4. Cape Town / Grootbos Private Nature Reserve
Journey to Grootbos Private Nature Reserve. World-renowned for its natural beauty, this is the best land-based viewing area in the world for Southern Right whales. Offshore islands are home to penguins and seals. Explore white beaches, caves and the rich flora covered mountains. (BLD)

Wake up early with the chattering birds and grab your camera for this morning's game drive. Your ranger will help you spot all kinds of wildlife from bush pigs to giraffes, honey badgers and zebras. This afternoon, look out for hippos submerging along the riverbank and watch for the African Fish Eagle searching for its dinner. (BLD)
Day 9. Shamwari Game Reserve
Shamwari Game Reserve is about conserving a vanishing way of life. Dedicated to nature conservation, Shamwari strives to educate and promote awareness. In between safari drives, visit the Ian Player Rhino Awareness Centre, the Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and the Born Free Big Cat Sanctuaries. (BLD)
