Overlooking the Great Rift Valley and the Ngorongoro Forest, Gibb’s Farm is a refurbished coffee farm with a warm, rustic luxury atmosphere. The main farmhouse and cottages, each with a unique theme, offer the warmth and charm of another era, with all of the modern amenities. The cottages have eucalyptus floors, hand-crafted furniture, two queen-size beds, indoor and outdoor showers, a fireplace and private veranda. The main farmhouse features a charming living room, dining rooms, outside verandas, a gazebo and gift boutique. A large, open fireplace offers a welcome spot to relax in the early evening, to enjoy a glass of wine and good conversation. Throughout the day, the culinary team dishes up delectable cuisine. Garden grown organic vegetables and locally raised meat, farm-fresh milk, cream and baked goods provide the healthy, nutritious ingredients for sumptuous breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. The farm’s organic vegetable and terraced flower gardens provide a wonderful sanctuary for afternoon tea or a quiet walk to impart a sense of contentment and well-being.

Day 1. Arusha / Ngorongoro Highlands
Depart Arusha for the Ngorongoro Highlands Area where the next three nights are spent exploring the area. (LD)
Gibb's Farm
Day 2. Ngorongoro Crater
This morning you will be taken by your professional guide on a excursion to the crater floor. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this unique biosphere has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Enclosed within its towering walls are grasslands, swamps, forests, salt pans, a fresh water lake and a glorious variety of birdlife. The stunning landscape of Ngorongoro Crater combined with its spectacular wildlife is one of the greatest natural wonders of the planet. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before climbing back up to the lodge and some relaxation before dinner. (BLD)
Gibb's Farm
Day 3. Ngorongoro Highlands
The day is at leisure to fill with the many activities offered at Gibb's Farm. Join the staff in their early morning bread making ritual or experience traditional coffee cultivation and roasting, just as it has been done for generations. Explore the farm and gardens or nearby forests and hike to the waterfall and "elephant caves." Go on a cultural excursion to nearby Karatu and wander about the streets and markets, taking in the sights and sounds. Spend some time with the farm carpenters building school desks. A donation fee of $60.00 per desk covers the cost of the material, Gibb's Farm donates the labor. Join the team when they deliver the desk, a very rewarding way to participate in village life.(BLD)

Day 4. Ngorongoro Highlands / Arusha
After breakfast, you driver will return you to Arusha for lunch. (BL)
