Day 1. New York, USA / Johannesburg, South Africa

Depart New York on your international flight on South African Airways to Johannesburg. From the moment you board your South African Airways flight you feel the warm and welcoming African hospitality in every detail of the world class service you are about to experience.

Day 2. Johannesburg / Cape Town

Arrive in Johannesburg and take a short domestic flight to your Cape Town destination. You will be met by an African Travel, Inc. representative and transferred to your hotel on the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

Day 3. Cape Town

Spend today at leisure. Few cities in the world offer as many potential activities as Cape Town. Perhaps go on a guided city tour. Take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, marvel at the colorful Malay Quarter, stroll through the Company Gardens, past the Houses of Parliament, and then test your bargaining skills at the bustling Greenmarket Square. Day 4. Cape Town

Enjoy another day at leisure in the fascinating city of Cape Town. We suggest a Cape Peninsula Tour. Immerse yourself in spectacular ocean vistas on today’s full day exploration of "The Fairest Cape." Drive past the sparkling beaches of Camps Bay, Clifton and Llandudno and along the legendary Chapman's Peak drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve making a stop at Boulders Beach to visit the endearing penguin colony.

Hidden Gems: Indulge in a 30 minute Rasul Tylarium mud bath experience at the Elements Spa. One per person is included in your stay. (B)

Day 5. Cape Town

Relish your last leisurely day. Perhaps a sojourn to the nearby Cape Winelands to sample gourmet fare or a visit to Robben Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site and place of incarceration of South Africa's beloved Nelson Mandela or if you want to get your heart pounding, descend into the shark infested Atlantic Ocean in a reinforced cage. Day 6. Cape Town /Johannesburg / Marakele National Park

Today you will be transferred to Cape Town Airport for your scheduled flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, you will be met and transferred by road to your 5-star accommodations. Settle in and soak up the tranquility of the African bush before embarking on your late afternoon game drive. The park is home to all of the large game species, from elephant and rhino to the big cats, as well as an amazing variety of birds, including the largest colony of endangered Cape vultures in the world. Day 7. Marakele National Park

Your day begins early, with a hot cup of coffee or tea. Outside, the sun is just beginning to peek over the horizon, highlighting the vast plains, winding rivers, and majestic mountains. Spend your day exploring this wilderness paradise. (BLD)

Day 8. Marakele National Park

Reminiscent of the intrepid explorers who navigated wild Africa; guided bush walks are another way to explore the landscape. Learn about the medicinal uses of the local flora, view animals at eye level and experience the rhythm and energy of the bush. In the afternoon take a leisurely cruise on the Python Dam. Bask in the day’s golden moments as the sun dips below the horizon. (BLD)

Greet the dawn on one final game drive. After a hearty breakfast, you will be transferred by road back to Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport. Connect with your scheduled international South African Airways flight. (B)
