1. The Table Bay

South Africa, Cape Town

The Table Bay Hotel is set on the historic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, against the stunning backdrop of the working harbor, Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean.  The air conditioned rooms feature en-suite bathrooms with separate shower and bath. Amenities include hairdryers, 24-hour in room dining, mini-bar, tea & coffee making facilities, safe, satellite TV, telephone, Wi-Fi, and universal adaptor sockets. The Camissa Brasserie restaurant, named after the Khoisan word for Cape Town, offers diners a sensory experience. The Lounge offers a relaxed setting where you can enjoy breakfast, light meals and the Table Bay High Tea seven days a week. The Atlantic serves a breakfast buffet daily, while the Union Bar is the perfect spot to unwind and savor creative cocktails. During your stay, start your morning with a good work out at the gym, lounge around the heated outdoor swimming pool or, pamper yourself at the spa.

2. Kapama River Lodge

Kapama River Lodge is positioned along a bend of the seasonal Kapama River. Decorated to reflect old Africa, the air-conditioned suites feature full, en-suite bathrooms and private patios with uninterrupted views over the Big Five game reserve. Amenities include fans, hairdryers, mini-bar, safe, telephone, Wi-Fi internet access and tea/coffee making facilities. The central lodge area includes an enclosed dining area, where breakfasts and lunches are served and a bar and lounge with two large fireplaces. Evening meals are often enjoyed seated around a crackling fire in the Rhino Boma, where buffet meals showcase the pan-African dishes. The large rim-flow swimming pool is the perfect place to relax on a lazy afternoon. Activities at Kapama include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles and guided bush walks, conducted by experienced rangers. All game viewing drives and walks are shared with fellow camp guests.

3. Kapama Southern Camp

Kapama Southern Camp is situated in a tranquil setting in Kapama Private Game Reserve. The contemporary, understated décor is inspired by surrounding nature. All suites have en-suite bathrooms with picture windows and private patios to enjoy the scenery. Each air conditioned suite has a telephone, minibar, tea and coffee station, hair dryer and safe. Relax in the lounge with a good book and cool refreshment from the bar, or take a dip in the pool to cool off after a game drive. Breakfast and lunch are served in the open-sided dining room, while the traditional outdoor boma, illuminated by firelight and starry skies, is the favored setting for dinner. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles and guided bush walks, conducted by experienced rangers. All game viewing drives and walks are shared with fellow camp guests. 

4. DaVinci Hotel and Suites

5. Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

Day 2. Johannesburg / Cape Town

Arrive in Johannesburg and take a short domestic flight to your Cape Town destination. An African Travel, Inc. representative will escort you to the five-star Table Bay Hotel, nestled on Quay Six in the heart of the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Settle into South Africa time at the Lounge or Union Bar, or indulge in a divine massage at the spa.

Day 3. Cape Town

Embraced by the Atlantic Ocean and flanked by imperial mountains, Cape Town hosts a dazzling display of bright lights and architecture reflecting both the beauty of the past and modern innovation. Day 5. Cape Town

If you have yet to get your heart pounding in the Mother City, perhaps today is the day. Adventures await beyond every corner, from cavorting with the Boulder’s Beach penguins to descending into the shark-infested Atlantic in a reinforced cage dive. The adventure-minded crowd are never disappointed in Cape Town, and even the more conservative can push their comfort zone with an endless array of award-winning restaurants in every imaginable style of cuisine. Day 6. Cape Town / Hoedspruit / Kapama Private Game Reserve

After a delicious breakfast, bid adieu to Cape Town - you’re off to the Kapama Private Game Reserve! The reserve offers panoramic views of the nearby Drakensberg Mountain range and the area supports a wide variety of game including elephants, buffalo, rhinoceros, and a large population of giraffe, impala, blue wildebeest and kudu. Arrive in time for an indulgent lunch before partaking in an exhilarating afternoon game drive. (BLD)

Day 7. Kapama Private Game Reserve

Twice-daily game drives throughout the reserve, accompanied by expert guides and trackers, provide plenty of opportunities to witness the plethora of local wildlife. See for yourself why Kapama Private Game Reserve is affectionately known as the “African Eden” – this slice of wilderness paradise is secluded from the crowds and home to the notorious Big Five as well as more than 40 other mammal species and 350 different types of birds. Day 8. Kapama Private Game Reserve

Venture on early morning and afternoon game drives in an attempt to experience as much of this reserve as possible. Kapama is the largest owner-managed private game reserve in the area, encompassing 13,000 hectares of sweeping wilderness. The reserve is also one of Africa’s premier ecotourism destinations, and rare wildlife – such as king cheetah, wild dog, serval and nocturnal black-footed cat – are frequently seen on game drives. Day 9. Kapama Private Game Reserve / Johannesburg

Take one last early morning game drive before embarking on a flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the DaVinci Hotel and Suites – a contemporary masterpiece set in the “City of Gold.” Located adjacent to Nelson Mandela Square, one of the country’s largest open public spaces, the Da Vinci Hotel and Suites offers opulent first-class facilities in a stylish and elegant setting. Spend the evening exploring Africa’s second largest city or enjoy a classic Euro Asian fusion dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. (B)

Day 10. Johannesburg / Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel before flying to Victoria Falls. The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, perched high on the natural boundary to Zambezi National Park, serves as your exquisite home base during your stay at Livingstone’s World Heritage Site. Day 11. Victoria Falls

After breakfast, prepare for a radically different waterfront experience with a guided tour of Victoria Falls. This mile-long curtain of falling water is celebrated as one of the seven natural wonders of the world, and its extraordinary grandeur captivates visitors from around the globe. Take a walk through the magnificent rain forest and witness the Cataracts, Livingstone’s statue, and an endless variety of birds and plants. Later, indulge in the tantalizing aromas, tastes, and sounds of The Boma during a traditional African feast accompanied by traditional singers, dancers, fortune-tellers and storytellers. Day 12. Victoria Falls / Johannesburg / New York

After a delicious farewell breakfast, you are transferred to Victoria Falls Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg. Once you have landed in Johannesburg, connect to your ongoing South African Airways flight and depart for USA. (B)
