Nestled at the foot of the wooded slopes of Mount Meru, this unique hotel stands amid coffee plantations on the shores of tranquil Lake Duluti. Designed to echo the traditional style of the colonial coffee farm, which originally stood on this site, the hotel offers several cottage-styled rooms in extensive landscaped grounds. The rooms are accommodated in banana-stem thatched huts, each with a private balcony that boasts magnificent views of the surroundings. 2. Tarangire Sopa Lodge

Tarangire Sopa Lodge is nestled among the small rocky hills or kopjes scattered with ancient baobab trees. All spacious rooms at this lodge have a private lounge with a mini bar. Each room has two queen-size beds with a mosquito net around them. Ceiling fans keep the rooms cool and glass sliding doors open out on to a balcony, with a great view of the landscape beyond. Wildlife can sometimes be spotted while sitting on the balcony. The bar is located between the lobby and the dining room furnished with comfortable seats for total relaxation. The dining room is a large, spacious, and airy room with an enormous outdoor patio. All meals are included.
3. Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge

Standing high on the edge of a towering terracotta escarpment with panoramic views over the glittering waters of Lake Manyara, the lodge offers peace and tranquility, wildlife discovery, and ornithological richness. The two story ensuite rondavel rooms are strung out along the edge of the cliff to allow for maximum views. The interior décor reflects the blue of the lake and the pink of its flamingos. Each room has a telephone, hair dryer, bathrobe, slippers and Wi-Fi connectivity. Grouped around a central vanishing horizon pool, the lodge features a reception area, built in traditional African style, which is accessed via a bridge over a small stream. Beyond reception, lies the central dining room, bar and veranda, below which lies the pool. Perched on the very edge of the cliffs, with stunning views of Lake Manyara National Park is the pool bar and observation point. The lodge has a gift shop, room with satellite TV, laundry service.
4. Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

Set high on an acacia tree-clad ridge with panoramic views across the Serengeti, the lodge has been designed to blend into the landscape. Inspired by a traditional African village, the stone-built, thatched rondavels feature ensuite bathrooms, telephone, Wi-Fi and private balconies. Hairdryers are available from the reception desk. The two-tiered dining room is supported by massive pillars and embellished with traditional ‘Makonde' carvings. A circular terrace looks out over the grounds and the swimming pool. 5. Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge

This unique lodge clings to the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. Designed to blend completely into the landscape, the lodge takes its inspiration from the prehistoric site of Olduvai Gorge, which lies close by. Linked by arched stone passages and timbered decks, the walls are decorated with stylized prehistoric cave paintings and lit by torches. The rooms are set around the Crater rim and each has a rock-enclosed balcony, with uninterrupted views of the volcanic amphitheater below. Day 2. Arusha / Tarangire National Park
Depart after breakfast and travel overland to Tarangire National Park, home to one of the greatest concentration of elephants. Arrive in time for lunch. This afternoon join your expert safari ranger for an afternoon game viewing activity. The grassy acacia woodlands and gigantic baobabs make for spectacular vistas. Tarangire National Park supports a great diversity of wildlife - elephants, giraffe, buffalo, lesser kudu, zebra, lion, leopard and cheetah. (BLD)

Enjoy your morning at leisure with an optional balloon safari. After lunch depart on a game drive in the Tarangire National Park. Depart during the early morning splendor of an African sunrise for your first game drive of the day. Your expert ranger will maneuver you to the perfect spots to collect a gallery of thrilling images as the morning unfolds. Watch alert elephants carefully guarding their young as they traverse the bush; a startled warthog running with its tail erect; ungainly herds of wildebeest grazing alongside zebra. This afternoon, relax at the lodge until the day cools down and the animals become more active for your afternoon drive. After breakfast descend 2,000 feet through the early morning mists, to explore the crater floor of this extinct volcano. You'll be in awe of the profusion of wildlife concentrated here. Zoom in on the elephants ambling along well-worn tracks. Listen for the roaring lion guarding its large pride. You might spot the endangered rhino feeding down by the lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to your lodge. Share the day’s magical moments with your safari companions as the sun sinks over the horizon. (BLD)
