Situated in Lusaka on a tree-lined avenue near the National Assembly of Zambia, the cosmopolitan boutique hotel with 18 rooms prides itself on its attention to detail and support of emerging local talent.   Statement interiors are created by local communities using recycled, upcycled and sustainable materials.  Soothing stylish bedrooms offer sumptuous beds, walk-in showers, full-sized baths, inviting sofas, flat-screen TV’s, Nespresso coffee machines, complimentary still and sparkling mineral water, and free Wi-Fi.

Thorntree River Lodge is set in Zambia’s Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, just a short distance from the famous Victoria Falls. Featuring an environmentally conscious, modern design, the lodge draws inspiration from local cultures. Each tented suite includes an indoor and outdoor bathroom and private plunge pool. The main lodge consists of a lounge with an open dining area and cellar stocked with the finest wines. A gym and spa overlook the mighty Zambezi River, and there is a small library with Wi-Fi to check in with the world. The communal deck set along the river is home to a sunken boma and infinity pool. Day 2. Lusaka / Lower Zambezi National Park

Take flight to your next location, in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site home to some of the best wildlife sightings in the world. Day 3. Lower Zambezi National Park

Wake to the heart-stirring vistas of wild Africa with the majestic Zambezi River flowing past your room. Your expert guides will share their wealth of knowledge on day and night game drives. Day 4. Lower Zambezi National Park

Accompanied by your river guide, take a relaxed paddle on Africa’s fourth largest river. Canoe past wading elephants and incredible bird life, or spend the day on a river safari. Try your hand attiger-fishing. Strictly catch and release, the tigerfish is one of the world’s top game fish. (BLD)

Day 5. Lower Zambezi National Park / Livingstone

Incredible experiences await as you fly to Livingstone and nearby legendary Victoria Falls. Cruise down one of Africa’s grandest rivers at sunset enjoy wonderful African wildlife sightings in an incredibly romantic setting.(BLD)

Day 6. Livingstone

Daily excursion to see Victoria Falls, river cruises, cultural visits to the local communities, fishing expeditions, canoeing, and game drives are all included. (BLD)

Day 7. Livingstone / Okavango Delta

In the morning, transfer by road to Kasane Airport, then enjoy a scenic helicopter flight to Atzaro.
