Accommodations
1. Mfuwe Lodge
Zambia, South Luangwa National Park
Mfuwe Lodge is positioned inside Zambia's famed South Luangwa National Park, along two spectacular lagoons where an endless stream of wildlife will keep you enthralled. The central lodge incorporates the reception, lounge, dining and bar areas and the swimming pool which overlooks the main lagoon. The lodge also has an open boma for dinners under starlit African skies. The thatched chalets are open plan and offer remarkable game viewing right from your balcony. Each chalet is equipped with an en-suite bathroom with shower, twin hand basins, separate toilet, international power sockets, toiletries, hair dryers, personal safe, mosquito nets and fans (no air conditioners). Activities from the lodge include day and night game drives conducted by experienced rangers. Set off at first light or in the late afternoon when the wildlife is most active. In between game drives, relax around the pool, in the library or pamper yourself at the Bush Spa.
2. Chindeni Bushcamp

Chindeni Bushcamp is located on the edge of a lagoon, where hippo chortle and elephant wallow. There’s something about sleeping under canvas that ignites a sense of adventure, and Chindeni is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful tented camps in the South Luangwa. The spacious tents with wooden floors, four-poster beds, cozy sitting areas, en suite bathrooms, and vaulted canvas ceilings, are so inviting that you may never want to leave your room. Gaze out from your private deck onto the lagoon which attracts birds and animals from miles around. The camp is solar powered with limited battery charging available. The central lounge and dining area is a glorious expanse of decking arranged on several levels around the surrounding ebony trees, with spectacular views of the serene lagoon and its inhabitants. Avid game viewers and birdwatchers can set out on walking safaris, game drives, night drives and scenic sundowner trips in the surrounding area. Whether you are in the mood for intrepid exploration or perhaps some more sedentary wildlife viewing, Chindeni will deliver.
3. Chiawa Camp
Zambia, Lower Zambezi National Park
Chiawa Camp rests in the shade of a grove of mahogany trees on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Lower Zambezi National Park. The well-appointed tents are set on elevated wooden decks providing panoramic views of the Zambezi River. The tents are under thatch and have king size beds, insect screens and en-suite facilities. All share ample comforts and unexpected luxuries such as free Wi-Fi, 24 hour lighting and charging facilities (220v UK plugs), hot & cold running water, twin hand basins, indoor and outdoor showers and ball & claw baths complemented by high quality, eco-friendly amenities. The central thatched lounge and bar area with upper and lower viewing decks is the perfect spot to watch the sun set over another day in Africa. Enjoy al-fresco dining on the veranda or relax around the camp fire with a Pimm’s in hand, reminiscing about the day's adventures. Activities include day and night game drives in open safari vehicles, guided bush walks, canoe trips, boat cruises on custom built pontoon boats and catch and release angling. The camp has two game viewing hides and a pool with timber sun deck overlooking the Zambezi.
Itinerary
Day 1. Arrive South Luangwa National Park, Zambia
Fly off to Mfuwe, where you’ll be met and driven to your lodge in the South Luangwa National Park. Spot the elephants on a game drive into the truly unspoiled wilderness area and one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in Africa. (D)

Mfuwe Lodge
Day 2. South Luangwa National Park
After breakfast, depart for your intimate bushcamp, located in the remote parts of the South Luangwa National Park. You’ll be struck by the great numbers of buffalo, giraffe, zebra, impala and kudu roaming the plains and elephants, hippo and crocodile along the river banks. In the evening, return to your camp to recharge and get in sync with the peaceful surroundings. (BLD)

Day 3. South Luangwa National Park
Hop aboard your safari vehicle with your ranger and spend your days scouting the oxbow lagoons bursting with hippos, crowned cranes and scurrying baboons. Leopards, lions and even wild dogs are among the predators you can spot as you continue your exploration of this wild area. (BLD)

Day 4. South Luangwa National Park
The South Luangwa National Park is the place to experience the original walking safari, a “heart thumping” way to get close to nature and feel her pulse. An impressive 5,000 square miles, it is one of Africa’s last true wildernesses, and probably southern Africa’s best kept secret. (BLD)

Take flight to your next camp in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park. Spend the afternoon getting acquainted with your new surroundings and viewing wildlife from the deck overlooking the river. Day 7. Lower Zambezi National Park
Listen for the cry of the fish eagle as you continue your exploration of the pristine wilderness.
