Situated in Lusaka on a tree-lined avenue near the National Assembly of Zambia, the cosmopolitan boutique hotel with 18 rooms prides itself on its attention to detail and support of emerging local talent.   Statement interiors are created by local communities using recycled, upcycled and sustainable materials.  Soothing stylish bedrooms offer sumptuous beds, walk-in showers, full-sized baths, inviting sofas, flat-screen TV’s, Nespresso coffee machines, complimentary still and sparkling mineral water, and free Wi-Fi.

2. Chikunto Safari Lodge

Enjoy your unique location in the “Valley of the Leopard” within the South Luangwa National Park. The park is famous for its high density of game and absence of game-viewing traffic. There is plenty of space and time to relax in one of the tented suites.  Flanked by rolling plains and plateaus, the intimate lodge enjoys sweeping views of the Luangwa River which you can enjoy from your raised outdoor deck. If you’re feeling social the inviting firepit provides an ideal space to gather for a cocktail. The main lodge under thatch houses a cozy bar and dining area. The salt-water swimming pool (no chlorine) has a counter-current system perfect for exercise or a stunning photo op.  

3. Lolebezi

4. Thorntree River Lodge

Zambia, Livingstone

Thorntree River Lodge is set in Zambia’s Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, just a short distance from the famous Victoria Falls. Featuring an environmentally conscious, modern design, the lodge draws inspiration from local cultures. Each tented suite includes an indoor and outdoor bathroom and private plunge pool. The main lodge consists of a lounge with an open dining area and cellar stocked with the finest wines. A gym and spa overlook the mighty Zambezi River, and there is a small library with Wi-Fi to check in with the world. The communal deck set along the river is home to a sunken boma and infinity pool. Additional wooden decking floats on the edge of the river and moves with the water level to create the illusion of sailing. Activities include visits to Victoria Falls, rhino trekking on foot and game drives in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, cultural village visits, sunset river cruises (on the lodge’s own private boat), fishing, and visits to the Livingstone Museum. 


Day 1. Arrive in Lusaka, Zambia

From Lusaka Airport, transfer to your stylish boutique hotel on a tree-lined avenue. You're instantly invited to explore Africa's contemporary art scene with curated works from locals or connect in socializing dens and bars that stimulate connection. If there's time join a local to explore the nearby art galleries and shops.

Day 2. South Luangwa National Park

Today you fly to one of the world’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries, the South Luangwa. Upon landing in Mfuwe, you will be met and driven to your lodge perfectly situated within the national park. Take in the wildness of the location before your orientation game drive. The concentration of animals around the Luangwa River and its oxbow lagoons is among the most intense in Africa. (BLD)

Day 3. South Luangwa National Park

Known for its big cat sightings, the park is often referred to as the Valley of the Leopard. After a thrilling game drive with the absence of game viewing traffic, relax in the salt-water swimming pool with counter-current system. Feel refreshed as you venture out on a night game drive to try to spot leopards prowling. (BLD)

Day 4. South Luangwa National Park

Head out with your guiding team to experience the original walking safari, a “heart thumping” way to get close to nature and feel Africa’s pulse.Spot the Thornicroft giraffe and Cookson wildebeest endemic to Zambia. In the evening, watch the sun sink below the horizon at the main lodge or escape to a private sky bed. (BLD)

Day 5. South Luangwa National Park / Lower Zambezi National Park

Take flight to your next location, a brand new lodge n the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage is home to some of the best wildlife sightings in the world. Famous for its leopard population and elephant herds, this amazing destination offers a variety of land and water experiences. (BLD)



Day 6. Lower Zambezi National Park

Wake to the heart-stirring vistas of wild Africa with the majestic Zambezi River flowing past your room. Your expert guides will share their wealth of knowledge on day and night game drives. Off-grid solar energy powers the lodge and provides a quiet respite between game drives. Relax at the spa, gym or enjoy yoga in a magical place. Day 7. Lower Zambezi National Park

Accompanied by your river guide, take a relaxed paddle on Africa’s fourth largest river. Canoe past wading elephants and incredible bird life, or spend the day on a river safari, and try your hand at tiger fishing. Strictly catch and release, the tiger fish is one of the world’s top game fish. (BLD)



Day 8. Lower Zambezi National Park / Livingstone, Zambia

Incredible experiences await as you fly to Livingstone and nearby legendary Victoria Falls. Cruise down one of Africa’s grandest rivers on a private boat listening to the cry of an African fish eagle or comical chortling of nearby hippos. (BLD)

Day 9. Livingstone, Zambia

Daily excursions to see Victoria Falls (Zambian side), river cruises, cultural visits to the local communities, fishing expeditions, canoeing, and game drives are all included. Walking and tracking the endangered white rhino in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is a must. When you are not out enjoying the area, relax at the sparkling infinity pool that is set in the wooden deck with an uninterrupted visual connection to the water. Or escape to your own private pool. Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is home to the extremely rare and endangered white rhino who are under 24-hour protection by the rangers. At Thorntree River Lodge you’ll get the unique opportunity to see these incredible animals up close on a short walking safari.
