1. Victoria & Alfred Hotel

Victoria & Alfred Hotel was built in 1904 as the North Quay Warehouse.  Later in 1990, it was converted to a luxury hotel named in honor of the Queen of England and her son. The spacious, air-conditioned, en-suite bedrooms are spread over three floors. All the rooms have coffee and tea making facilities, with private bar, electronic safe, Satellite television, international plugs and wireless internet. In addition, every room has a view over the ever-awake Alfred Basin or Piazza. A stone’s throw from the water’s edge, the inviting Ginja Restaurant has one of the finest dining locations in the heart of the V&A Waterfront. Day 2. Cape Town

Begin the day with spectacular vistas of the city on a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain. Sense the depth of history as you drive past The Castle, City Hall and the old Slave Lodge. Stroll through the cobblestoned Malay Quarter and browse Greenmarket Square. (B)

Day 3. Cape Town

Spend today discovering the rugged Cape Peninsula, passing beautiful beaches along the way. Look out for wildlife in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and view the engaging penguin colony at Boulders Beach. (B)

Day 4. Cape Town

Relish your last leisurely day in Cape Town. Walk down Kloof and Long streets and explore the buzzing bistros, boutiques and cafes in the area. (B)

Day 5. Cape Town / Thornybush Nature Reserve

Fly to your safari lodge in the Thornybush Nature Reserve. After settling into your home for the next two nights, unpack your camera and venture into the bush for your first open vehicle game drive. Situated within 14 000 hectares of pristine wilderness, the Thornybush Nature Reserve is a true escape. (BLD)

Day 6. Thornybush Nature Reserve

Twice-daily game drives provide plenty of opportunities to see the Big Five and a plethora of intriguing creatures. Your professional ranger and tracker team provide an incomparable personal and interpretive experience of the African wilderness. Pause for a sundowner on your late afternoon drive and let the majestic vistas fill you with a sense of peace. (BLD)

Day 7. Thornybush Nature Reserve / Kruger Private Reserve

Rise early when the animals are most lively for this morning's game drive. Return to camp for breakfast and then flight by light aircraft to your next lodge. Settle in before embarking on your late afternoon game drive. This superb sanctuary is home to an abundance of wildlife so keep your eyes peeled. (BLD)

Day 8. Kruger Private Reserve

Soak up the tranquility of your surroundings. Guided walks are another way to explore the rarer sights and wonders of the bush, often missed when in a vehicle. Tonight, savor fine dining beneath the grand canopy of the African sky. (BLD)
