Finally got some time to sit down and let you know how it went.

The staff at all three lodges were warm and welcoming with great food and service. We met Aubrey (owner) at Ndali and his two dogs were our constant companions.  The managers (Gilbert at Ndali, George at Kyambura and Joselyn at Bwindi were always checking to make sure we were satisfied.  Really liked the way the chefs would touch base to see what you would like for dinner and make accommodations for different tastes.

The chimp and gorilla treks were certainly the highlight of the safari but we also enjoyed the cruise and game treks as well.  Have to admit the climb at Bwindi is everything we were warned about and thank goodness we found then a little over two hours up.  Not sure I could have gone on too much longer!! The complimentary massage was very needed when back at the lodge!

Just got back from our safari/vacation and just wanted to say “Many and sincere thanks”.  That was the finest vacation we have every had and we’ve taken plenty over the past 20 years.  Very professionally put together and absolutely everything was taken care of for us.  So thank you for all your efforts.  You could not have done more for us.

By the way, Arathusa Lodge was superb in every way.  Highly recommended.  Keep sending folks there.  You cannot go wrong.

Again thanks,

Pete & Linda Snyder

The most AWESOME trip I’ve ever taken!!   Tanzania – I will be back!!!

The 12 day safari in Tanzania  was the most AMAZING trip in my lifetime!  I have travelled quite a bit outside the U.S. including Kenya in 1996, to Australia a few years later and to several European countries.  I have never had such an awesome experience in any of my travels as this one!! Seeing the wildlife and just sitting and watching their behaviors was fascinating.

I cannot say enough good things about our guide, Ally Kileo.  He’s a native Tanzanian, lived in the United States for a few years, went to college to learn about wildlife, then moved back to his home in Tanzania to his love of being a safari guide.   He currently contracts with Kibo Safaris, LTD in Arusha, Tanzania.  He speaks excellent English, has unlimited knowledge and was always inviting questions, not only about the wildlife but also about culture, tribal traditions, anything & everything..  He could identify every bird, knew behaviors of the wildlife so well, that he relayed to us what “they were up to,” as we watched.  He educated us about the government of Tanzania, the school system, and the trust and love that Tanzanians have for each other and even strangers.  I’ve never been to a country where the people were SO friendly, happy, and welcoming.  They are peaceful people, extending great hospitality, and love Americans.

Accommodations were excellent!!!  I LOVED the tented camps!!

There were numerous times on this trip that I was moved to tears.  I experienced the trip of my lifetime because the combination of experiences were so varied.  I loved not only learning about the different cultures, but also being able to participate in cultural activities.
