The west of Tanzania is extremely remote, and you’ll have to spend a little time (and a few pennies!) to get there. But waiting for you are two of Tanzania’s most enchanting parks, jam-packed with experiences and landscapes to take your breath away.

In Katavi, a place where lion most definitely outnumber people, you’ll game drive across golden plains and fly camp under a billion twinkling stars. Walking safaris are also possible so rise early to explore the bush on foot.

In the Mahale Mountains, chimpanzee are the name of the game. There are around 1000 living in the lush, jungled hills, and spending time with them is an intimate and magical experience.

And then there’s Lake Tanganyika, offering up sundowner boat trips and afternoon snorkelling expeditions in the clear waters.
