Enjoy extraordinary wildlife viewing from your lodge, high above the banks of the Boteti River. The river and its nutrient grasslands, create a unique riverine habitat, providing essential sustenance for the animals that inhabit this arid park.

Leroo La Tau is situated on the western bank of the Boteti River. The lodge features luxurious thatched and glass-fronted suites with en-suite bathrooms comprising of a shower, double hand basin and toilet. Amenities include a fan, tea and coffee making facilities, small safe and hairdryer (available at reception). Each unit is raised on a wooden platform and offers panoramic views of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The main lounge and bar with its inviting wood and thatch is the perfect place to relax. Alternatively you can lounge around the swimming pool or enjoy the panoramic river vista from the game-viewing hide built into the bank of the river. In the evening gather at the campfire boma and be serenaded by the night sounds so characteristic of the African bush.
Itinerary
Day 1. Arrive Makgadikgadi Pans National Park
After breakfast in camp, meet your bush pilot and board the aircraft for your flight to the vast Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, one of Botswana’s most diverse national parks. Arrive in camp to the stunning view over the Boteti River. Leroo La Tau translates as ‘lion’s paw print’ and the surrounding area features abundant lion, zebra and wildebeest, as well as Chobe bushbuck, leopard, cheetah, Brown and Spotted hyena, impala, kudu, jackal, porcupine, genet and caracal, to name but a few. Day 2. Makgadikgadi Pans National Park
Wake to the breathtaking views of the magnificent river. Guided game drives unlock the fascinating treasures found in this wonderful arid area. Experienced rangers will introduce you to a world of wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives and guided nature walks. Boat excursions are dependent on water levels. (BLD)

Day 3. Leroo La Tau
Greet another beautiful African sunrise and a day filled with safari activities. While away hours in the game viewing hide in between drives, or arrange an optional excursion to Khamaga village. Tonight, after dinner, gather at the campfire boma high above the cliffs of the Boteti and raise a toast to your African adventure. (BLD)

Day 4. Makgadikgadi Pans National Park / Departure
Enjoy a morning game viewing activity then return to camp for breakfast. Afterwards, bid farewell to your new found friends as you depart on your air transfer to Maun. (B)
