Our Unforgettable African Safari

Africa is a unique destination. Understanding the subtle differences among lodges and how to create a pleasant experience transferring between camps is harder than it looks. The experience of African Travel Inc has been invaluable in making our safaris easy and hugely enjoyable.

We have been on safaris to Southern Africa and Victoria falls, as well as East Africa and gorilla treks in Rwanda. The lodges and activities African Travel Inc selected for us have been uniformly wonderful. The itinerary they designed perfectly matched our desires, goals and budget. They actually listen to us before they design our trips.

We seriously had the most incredible time — we now refer to it as “the trip of a lifetime”! From the moment we landed in South Africa, we were treated like gold. The hotel in Cape Town, The Twelve Apostles, was amazing.

The staff all knew our names and greeted us warmly everyday. And the service was excellent! Our lodging on safari was also amazing. Southern Camp was beautiful! The rooms were clean, spacious, had indoor and outdoor showers and we each had our own little plunge pool.

The most fabulous part of the entire trip were the game drives. Those animals were just fantastic!

We had an incredible guide whose knowledge was out of this world.

I seriously can’t thank you enough for helping us plan this trip. Have I mentioned it was INCREDIBLE!

My wife and I were on safari in Tanzania from January 22nd to February 1st. I wanted to take this opportunity to expand upon my comments.

Everything was wonderful: from Ramadan and Eugene, who drove us from and to Kilimanjaro Airport; to Charles, who gave us our initial orientation briefing. The hotels and lodges were magnificent, the food was delicious, and – of course – the Tanzanian people, landscapes, and animals were unforgettable.

But best of all was our safari tour guide, driver, and (now) friend: Lothi Mathias‎. He is incredibly knowledgeable, reliable, and personable, and a tremendous credit to to the tour. Our trip exceeded our (lofty) expectations in large measure because of Lothi’s hard work, dedication, and love of his people, his country, and of his chosen profession.
