Sossusvlei & Deadvlei

Visiting the world's oldest living desert is a bucket list item in and of itself. The mighty Namib Desert was formed 55 million years ago, making it the world's oldest desert. Its wild, rugged beauty hasn't changed in all this time. It is the land that time forgot... a place where time stops and timeless, enthralling beauty surrounds you at all times.

The hauntingly beautiful Deadvlei, or 'dead marsh,' is located at the foot of Big Daddy. The Tsauchab River flooded thousands of years ago, creating temporary shallow pools of water that aided in the growth of these camel thorn trees. Centuries later, the trees were killed by an unforgiving drought, and the relentless hot sun scorched them black. It's a picturesque, yet haunting, graveyard of eerie tree skeletons poking out of the most picturesque, cracked white clay. Deadvlei is a time-frozen forest that must be seen in person.

Sesriem Canyon

Explore the incredible depths of Sesriem Canyon. Knowledgeable guides will explain the history of this magnificent natural canyon carved by the Tsauchab River.
