Itinerary
Day 1. Arrive Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Upon arrival in Dubai you are met and transferred to your hotel.
Dubai is home to the world's tallest building, an island shaped like a palm tree, the world’s biggest shopping mall, a huge indoor ski paradise, luxury restaurants and opulent hotels, but there is plenty more to this extraordinary place. Here record breaking architecture stands alongside traditional quarters. Abras zip up and down the Creek, historical neighborhoods offer a nostalgic view of a bygone era, and a magical Arabian desert beckons.

Day 2. Dubai
Enjoy the magnificent view of Dubai Creek as you drive through the heritage area of Bastakiya, with its fascinating old Wind Towered Houses built by wealthy merchants. Continue to Al Bastakiya's 180-year old Al Fahidi Fort, which today houses the Dubai Museum. See the cannons, fortified walls and turrets of the old city. Next, hop aboard a traditional water taxi called an abra, and cross the Dubai Creek. Follow your guide through the spice souk, soaking up the colors and perfumes of the city, and the legendary gold souk where you can shop for souvenirs. On the way to Burj Al Arab, stop for a photo at the intricately detailed Jumeirah Mosque. The Burj's graceful silhouette – meant to evoke the sail of a dhow (traditional wooden cargo vessel) – is to Dubai what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. Afterwards, you will be returned to your hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. (B)
