Day 3. Kigali / Nyungwe

Travel south through Rwanda’s scenic countryside to Nyungwe National Park, arriving in time for lunch. This afternoon, experience the famous Nyungwe Canopy Walk, suspended high above the forest floor with spectacular views across the ancient rainforest. (BLD)

Day 4. Nyungwe

Rise early for a chimpanzee trekking adventure in Nyungwe National Park. Search the lush rainforest for habituated chimpanzees and enjoy the opportunity to encounter other primates and forest wildlife along the way. Return to the lodge to relax and enjoy the surrounding wilderness. (BLD)

Day 5. Nyungwe / Lake Kivu

Leave Nyungwe behind and travel to the shores of beautiful Lake Kivu. Enjoy the scenic drive through Rwanda’s lush hills and countryside before arriving at your lakeside retreat. Spend the afternoon at leisure overlooking the tranquil waters. (BLD)

Today brings one of Rwanda’s most unforgettable experiences: gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. Trek through the lush mountain forest in search of a habituated gorilla family and spend precious time observing these remarkable animals in their natural habitat. (BLD)

Day 9. Volcanoes National Park
