Victoria Falls River Lodge is a luxury tented lodge situated on the peaceful banks of the mighty Zambezi River, within the national park. The well-spaced tents boast uninterrupted views of the river and surrounding bush. Constructed of canvas, glass and wood, each tent extends out onto a private deck with its own plunge pool. The air-conditioned tents are tastefully decorated, and include a comfortable seating area, open plan bathroom with freestanding bath, indoor shower, as well as an outdoor shower. Positioned just back from the river’s edge, the main lodge offers a cool sanctuary from the African sun. After a day filled with activities, guests can relax and recharge in the river-side lounge, unwind alongside the pool, or indulge in a spa treatment (additional) at the Toa Spa. Itinerary
Day 1. Arrive Cape Town, South Africa
Arrive in the coastal city of Cape Town, often referred to as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The city's Edwardian and Victorian buildings have been meticulously preserved, and many outstanding examples of Cape Dutch architecture are found in its environs. Your home away from home for the next few nights is the Belmond Mount Nelson, an oasis of calm, at the foot of Table Mountain.

Day 2. Cape Town
Today's privately guided exploration starts with a cable car ride up to the summit of the legendary Table Mountain. Drive through the cobblestone streets of the Malay Quarter and the colorful flat-roofed pastel homes. The southern tip of the African continent is the meeting place of two mighty and bountiful oceans, the Indian and the Atlantic, and a visit to the Two Oceans Aquarium is a fun way to conclude today's activities. The aquarium is the only one of its kind in Africa exhibiting over 3000 species including sharks, fish, seals, turtles and penguins. (B)

Day 3. Cape Town
Discover the pristine coastline of the "Fairest Cape”, and take in some of the most spectacular views in the world, passing steep mountains, secluded coves, sweeping beaches, and quaint fishing villages. Visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, comprising over 17,300 acres of indigenous fauna and flora. You can see a variety of wildlife that includes baboons, rhebok, Cape Mountain zebra, bontebok and the elusive eland. The reserve is also one of the world's largest breeding grounds for tortoises. Visit the lively penguin colony at Boulders Beach, before returning to the city via the naval village of Simon’s Town. (B)

Day 4. Cape Town
Noted for its beauty, the Cape Winelands offers breathtaking scenery, warm hospitality, and world class cuisine. Visit Babylonstoren, one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, for a wine tasting and lunch. The garden is the heart of the farm and is laid out over 8 acres with the Greenhouse tucked away at the rear, the ideal spot to enjoy lunch. Meals are served picnic-style in wooden crates with preserves, jams and salads presented in mason jars. After lunch, take a stroll through the picturesque village of Franschhoek before returning to your hotel. (BL)

Day 5. Cape Town / Kruger Private Reserve
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Skukuza. Continue to the safari highlight of your family holiday and enjoy a three night stay in the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve. Game viewing possibilities are simply unparalleled, including the much sought after 'Big 5'. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives and guided bushwalks, conducted by experienced game rangers. Wake up early with the chattering birds and grab your camera for this morning's game drive. Your ranger will help you spot all kinds of wildlife from baboons and bush pigs to giraffes, honey badgers and zebras. This afternoon, look out for hippos submerging in the waterholes and watch for the African Fish Eagle searching for its dinner. After breakfast you will be transferred to Skukuza Airport for your shared light aircraft flight to the Mpumalanga Airport, and your onward flight to Livingstone, Zambia. On arrival meet your Victoria Falls River Lodge representative and transfer across the border, clearing Zimbabwe immigration formalities en route.
