1. Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge

Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge is hidden among one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations and beautifully positioned below the rugged peak of Mount Meru. The theme of coffee is never far away at Arusha Coffee Lodge as evidenced by the beautifully designed plantation suites and rooms, all adorned with comfortable furnishings. Each room features an ensuite bathroom including a triple-headed shower, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, electronic safe, mini-bar, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities. The homey feel of the lodge is by no means accidental as the origins of the homestead continue to emit glimpses of times-gone-by. The main Plantation House is home to an à la carte restaurant, an intimate bar and a cozy lounge, all of which have inviting open log fires. 2. Maramboi Tented Camp

Maramboi Tented Camp is in a 62,000 acre concession set aside for conservation by the local Maasai Community. Close to the shores of Lake Manyara and located in the migratory corridor of Manyara and Tarangire, the camp’s location is extraordinarily rich in wildlife and offers stunning views of the Rift Valley. On clear days even Oldonyo Lengai, a sacred mountain to the Maasai, can be seen. The spacious tents are set on raised decks. Each tent has a private terrace overlooking the Rift Valley. Tent amenities include large beds with mosquito nets, en-suite bathroom, 24 hour electricity, telephone and a charging outlet with 110/220volt for devices. Meals are served in the restaurant located in the center of the camp. After a game drive or nature walk, unwind in the lounge, indulge in some reading or simply relax and enjoy a dip in the swimming pool.
3. Acacia Farm Lodge

Acacia Farm Lodge is an eco-friendly country lodge nestled high on the Great Rift’s escarpment with panoramic views of the Karatu farmlands and the nearby Ngorongoro forest area. The spacious air-conditioned chalets include a lounge, en suite bathroom, mosquito net, flat screen TV with satellite channels, international telephone line, hair dryer, digital safe, shower, mini bar, coffee station and Wi-Fi. All the chalets have a private deck, with sweeping views of the farm and the surrounding scenic landscape. Lemala Mara Tented Camp moves with the seasons to ensure guests enjoy ringside seats to the spectacle of the magnificent wildebeest migration year-round. The camp is within touching distance of the Mara River and yet far enough away to remain discrete and not interrupt wildebeest behavior as they mass along the steep banks. Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high, and when the migration starts arriving, the area is turned into a wildlife paradise. The mobile tents are spacious and include all the little luxuries that make them surprisingly comfortable. Lemala Ewanjan is an authentic intimate tented camp set in a secluded part of the game-rich Central Serengeti with uninterrupted views. The camp is renowned for its year-round game viewing due to its abundance of water in the many rivers, as well as for its large populations of resident cats. The en-suite tents are spacious and comfortable, and have an outside deck offering beautiful views over the area. Day 1. Arrive Arusha, Tanzania
With a warm welcome upon your arrival, you’ll be transferred to your delightful accommodations in Arusha, northern Tanzania’s safari capital. (D)

Day 2. Arusha / Tarangire National Park
Begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, best known for its large elephant population and the majestic baobab trees that dwarf the animals that feed beneath them. After settling into your safari lodge, grab your camera and meet your expert ranger to set out for a late afternoon game drive. Tonight, you will be immersed in the African safari experience as you dine beneath the stars. (BLD)

Day 3. Tarangire National Park
Join your expert ranger for morning and afternoon game viewing activities in the Tarangire / Manyara corridor. Tarangire National Park, with its river providing the only permanent water supply during the dry season, supports a great diversity of wildlife — elephants, giraffe, buffalo, lesser kudu, zebra, lion, leopard and cheetah. Day 4. Tarangire / Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Set out early this morning for Lake Manyara. The seasonal flamingos lining its shore provide the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. Large herds of elephant roam the park and your ranger will diligently seek out the park’s fabled tree-climbing lions and countless wildlife photo opportunities. Continue on to your lodge for the next two nights, perfectly situated to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ngorongoro Crater. (BLD)

Day 5. Ngorongoro Crater
Descend some 2,000 feet to explore the crater floor of this extinct, collapsed volcano. You’ll be in awe of the wildlife concentrated here. Zoom in on the elephants wandering along well-worn tracks. Listen for the roaring lion guarding its large pride. Gazelle quietly graze, surrounded by zebra and wildebeest, and you might spot the endangered rhino feeding down by the lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to your camp. (BLD)

Day 6. Ngorongoro / Serengeti National Park
Take a short flight and drive to the great Serengeti — “endless plains” in the Maasai language. While the exact timing is difficult to predict, here is where more than two million wildebeest, half a million Thomson’s gazelle and a quarter-million zebra gather for annual migrations, attracting large predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena. Day 7. Serengeti National Park
Depart early in the morning for your first game drive of the day. Collect a gallery of thrilling images as the morning unfolds: a lioness relaxing after her morning hunt; alert elephants carefully guarding their young as they traverse the bush; a startled warthog running with tail erect; ungainly herds of wildebeest grazing alongside zebra. Relax at camp until the day cools down and the animals become more active before setting out for your afternoon game drive. (BLD)

Day 8. Serengeti National Park

Day 9. Serengeti National Park / Depart
