Day 2. Cairo
After breakfast, meet your expert Egyptologist for a full day of exploration. Step back in time as you visit Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, and the Step Pyramid of King Zoser. Marvel at the Great Pyramids of Giza, and stand in awe before the enigmatic Sphinx. Enjoy lunch at the historic Mena House with views of the pyramids and dinner at a beloved local restaurant. (BLD)

Day 3. Cairo / Luxor
Fly to Luxor, once the heart of ancient Thebes. Board your Nile cruise and settle into your private suite, where views of the river begin your journey in comfort. In the afternoon, explore the magnificent Karnak Temple, one of the largest religious complexes ever built. Walk through its grand Hypostyle Hall, where rows of towering columns create a forest of stone that has stood for more than three thousand years. Later, begin sailing toward Dendera.(BLD)

Day 4. Nile River Cruise
This morning, visit the beautifully preserved Temple of Hathor at Dendera, known for its celestial ceiling and intricate carvings that celebrate love, music, and joy. Return to the ship and sail back to Luxor. Day 5. Nile River Cruise
Venture into the Valley of the Kings, which contains 63 tombs, including that of King Tutankhamun. (King Tut’s tomb at an additional cost.) Visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s first female ruler. You can’t miss the colossal remains of the two statues of Pharaoh Amenohotep III. Day 6. Nile River Cruise
Begin your day with a visit to the dual Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely dedicated to two gods: Sobek and Horus. Cruise to Aswan to see the majestic Philae Temple and the engineering feat of the High Dam. Later, enjoy a serene felucca sail around the Nile islands and a colorful Nubian cultural show onboard. Your cruise comes to an end today. Upon disembarking, you may opt for an excursion to Abu Simbel to view the monumental Temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari, carefully relocated and rebuilt when Aswan’s High Dam was built. Fly to Cairo and settle into your well-appointed hotel. (B)

Join your Egyptologist for a day of discovery through Cairo's most celebrated landmarks.
