Day 3. Cairo / Abu Simbel / Aswan
Fly to Aswan, then connect to your flight to Abu Simbel. Upon arrival, a local driver will take you to the UNESCO-listed Abu Simbel temples, built during Ramses II’s reign (1290-1224 BC) to celebrate his 30th anniversary. Renowned among Egypt’s most impressive monuments, the complex includes the Great Temple dedicated to Ramses II and the Small Temple honoring his wife, Nefertari. Both temples were relocated to escape the Aswan High Dam’s rising waters.
