Dinaka Camp offers a luxury tented safari stay on a private conservancy at the edge of Botswana’s Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Seven spacious, elevated tents plus a two-bedrom family tent feature en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers and waterhole views, while communal areas include relaxed lounge and dining spaces, a pool, and opportunities to sleep out under the African night sky.

Okuti Camp’s accommodations are set alongside the peaceful Maunachira River and Xakanaxa Lagoon in Botswana’s Moremi Game Reserve. Each en-suite accommodation features indoor and outdoor showers and a private deck overlooking the water, inviting wildlife sightings throughout the day. Two family units provide additional space and privacy, while the camp’s organic design and open communal areas create a relaxed, authentic safari atmosphere in one of Botswana’s most wildlife-rich regions.

Itinerary

Day 1. Arrive in the Central Kalahari, Botswana

Arrive in Maun, then fly to the Dinaka Airstrip for a transfer to Dinaka Camp, set within a private conservancy bordering the Central Kalahari. Settle into camp and enjoy time to absorb the vast desert landscapes before an afternoon activity focused on the region’s distinctive wildlife. Dinner is served beneath the stars, with uninterrupted views of the Kalahari night sky. (LD)

Day 2. Central Kalahari

Spend the day discovering the Dinaka Private Reserve, known for its open plains, seasonal waterholes, and desert-adapted wildlife. Morning and afternoon game drives offer sightings of gemsbok, springbok, giraffe, and predators drawn to the water sources. Between activities, relax at camp or watch wildlife gather at the waterhole from the ground level photographic bunkers and above ground, eye level hides. (BLD)

Day 3. Central Kalahari

Continue exploring the subtle beauty of the Kalahari through guided activities tailored to the season. Game drives and walks with San Bushmen reveal desert-adapted wildlife such as Kalahari lions, brown hyena, gemsbok, springbok, and bat-eared fox, while quiet time at the waterhole offers close-up viewing as animals gather to drink. As evening falls, soak in the stillness of this rarely visited ecosystem, with optional sleep-out experiences under the stars when conditions allow. (BLD)

Day 4. Central Kalahari / Okavango Delta

Depart Dinaka by light aircraft and fly north into the Okavango Delta, arriving at Okuti Camp. Set along the Maunachira River and Xakanaxa Lagoon within the Moremi Game Reserve, the camp offers a striking contrast to the Kalahari’s arid landscapes. After settling into your suite, enjoy an afternoon safari activity, either by land or water depending on conditions. (BLD)

Day 5. Okavango Delta

Spend the day exploring one of Botswana’s most wildlife-rich regions. Game drives and water-based activities reveal abundant birdlife, large herds, and predators that thrive in this permanent-water environment. Day 7. Okavango Delta / Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Depart Okuti by light aircraft and continue on to Victoria Falls. Arrive in the afternoon and settle into your accommodations within a private wildlife sanctuary near Victoria Falls. Once refreshed, head out on an afternoon game drive, followed by scenic sundowners overlooking the dramatic Batoka Gorge. Return to camp in the evening to relax and enjoy dinner. (BLD)

Day 8. Victoria Falls

Begin the day with a guided tour of the iconic Victoria Falls, then enjoy brunch with views at The Lookout Café. After a relaxed afternoon siesta at the lodge, head out for a sunset cruise on the majestic Zambezi River. Dinner is served back at the lodge this evening. (BLD)

Day 9. Victoria Falls

Today is yours to personalize with a selection of optional experiences. Choose from a thrilling 12–13 minute Helicopter Flight of Angels, adrenaline-filled white-water rafting, a full-day excursion to Chobe National Park, or an elegant Malachite Dinner Cruise on the Zambezi. If time allows, the afternoon is also ideal for a village visit or a stop at the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust. This journey is led by expert local guides in each location rather than a single tour director. From the Kalahari to the Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls, guiding is handled by highly trained teams based in each region.

This itinerary blends independent travel with shared safari experiences. Transfers, game drives, and some meals are shared, while most dining and free time are on your own.

Light aircraft flights connect the Central Kalahari, Okavango Delta, and Victoria Falls, offering scenic views and efficient access to remote regions. Road transfers are included where required.

All accommodations, most meals, light aircraft flights, transfers, guided safari activities, and park fees are included.
Not Included: International airfare, gratuities, personal expenses, visas, and optional activities.

The Central Kalahari offers a more remote, desert-style safari with open plains, seasonal wildlife, and unique species such as Kalahari lions and brown hyena. Activities include game drives, guided walks, and cultural experiences with San Bushmen.

The departure dates and core itinerary are fixed, but you can personalize lodge activities, ad pre-and-post nights or extensions to other destinations such as Cape Town, South Africa.

This journey combines the remote beauty of the Central Kalahari, the water-rich Okavango Delta, and the iconic Victoria Falls, offering a diverse and immersive safari experience across Botswana and Zimbabwe.
