Sausage Tree Camp is set in the most stunning location on the banks of the Zambezi River in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park's best game viewing area. Voted "Best Location in Africa" 2016 the camp overlooks an expanse of narrow channels and low set reed islands teeming with game, with the magnificent Zambezi escarpment as the backdrop.
Guaranteed private guiding, activities include day and night game drives, walking safaris, canoeing, boating and fishing.
With a maximum of 18 guests accommodated in 7 "Luxury Suites" consist of lounge & dining areas, large deck and private plunge pool. The Kigelia family tent is made up of 2 ensuite bedrooms joined together by an open plan dining and lounge area with its own private plunge pool.
4. The Royal Livingstone Hotel

From Lusaka Airport, transfer to your stylish boutique hotel on a tree-lined avenue. If there's time join a local to explore the nearby art galleries and shops.

Day 2. Lusaka / South Luangwa National Park
Fly to Mfuwe, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your lodge in South Luangwa National Park. The area around the Luangwa River and its oxbow lagoons boasts one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife. Day 3. South Luangwa National Park
Discover the park in different ways. Venture out on a walking safari, South Luangwa’s signature experience, following tracks and listening to the sounds of the bush. Later, embark on another game drive to see elephants, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife along the riverbanks. Day 4. South Luangwa National Park
Spend another day exploring this fascinating area. Enjoy morning or afternoon game drives, with chances to see leopards, elephant herds, and some of the best wildlife sightings in the world. Birdwatchers and fans of smaller creatures will find plenty to discover beyond the main game. Wrap up the day with a final sundowner in the bush and a last night under South Luangwa’s star-filled sky. (BLD)

Wake up feeling like royalty in your spacious Bedouin-style tent. Set out on a scenic boat cruise to view the large hippo pods and the lions sunning themselves on the banks above you. Listen to the rustling leaves of the mahogany trees while you cool off with a refreshing dip in the pool. Sit on the expansive deck and marvel at the elephants that wander by. If you’re curious about what’s happening on the opposite shore of the Zambezi River, use the camp’s high-powered scope to spot male impalas rutting, elephants reaching for berries on their hind legs, or even a massive crocodile basking in the sun. Incredible experiences await as you fly to Livingstone and nearby legendary Victoria Falls. Arrive at the hotel and settle into your elegant river-facing room.
