Botswana's iconic zebra migration also occurs during the Green Season, as thousands of zebras journey along two main routes: from the Okavango Delta to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, and from the Chobe River floodplains to Nxai Pan National Park - in search of water and grazing grounds.

South Africa's seasons vary across regions. Kruger National Park, a top safari destination, sees its rainy season from November to April, while Cape Town enjoys a dry, sunny summer perfect for beach activities during the same period. In contrast, Cape Town's rainy winter season spans from June to August, coinciding with the dry high season for Kruger and many other safari destinations.
